A coaching session consists 45 minute sessions covering Brandy Storck's Braindrops Approach as well as ongoing access to the coach to further support you. This is not speech/language therapy. Should the coach feel that a formal evaluation for therapy should be warranted she will discuss that with the family and direct them further. Accordingly, this service is not reimbursable by insurance.
Provided in the home with the caregiver and child or children present OR at the office of The Emphasis Project.
Specifically Designed for Age 1-10
While speech/language therapy is a highly effective means to support children with delays and disorders, not every child needs formal therapy. Children present with significant amount of variation in the speed and manner in which they acquire listening, speaking, and thinking skills that is well within normal limits for typical development.
But sometimes concerns arise. Your neighbor's child is talking more than yours, grandma doesn't understand your child's words, their big brother talked in sentences by this age, you have concerns about their academic experience, you are left with questions and concerns, and the Google search and checklist at the pediatrician's office were rendered useless. This is where we want to support you.
Our Family Coaching & Consulting Services are provided in the home or office, with the caregiver and child or children present. A typical coaching session is provided in 4 visits, 45-minutes each, with each session covering the entirety of the Braindrops Approach developed by our therapist and owner, Brandy Storck. This consists of 10 powerful and evidence-based strategies and techniques you can begin using immediately to better support and enhance your child's listening, speaking, and thinking skills. The time may also be spent equipping families in preparation for IEP meetings, receiving advocacy coaching related to special education law.
The goal is to equip you to begin creating a listening and language rich lifestyle throughout each day, to answer your questions, to address your concerns, and to teach you the "Why's" and "How's" of language and learning development. When you have a functional understanding of the "Why's" and "How's", you create the "What's" and the sky is genuinely the limit in effectively seeing your child to developmental abundance.
