Payment for Therapy Services

Several years ago we changed our model regarding private paying families to better meet the needs of the children we serve. We made the decision to no longer accept insurance given the increased cost and decreased service availability that often accompanies an insurance-based model.  There are countless children in need of services that are "slipping through the cracks" such as those:
  • who may not meet the school or insurance company qualifications for services.
  • whose school is not able to provide all of the services needed to support the child's unique educational needs.
  • who may be in need of extra supports in addition to school services.
  • who may need "medically" based services in addition to the "educationally" based services provided in the school system.
  • who may be infants and toddlers that do not meet the criteria to qualify for the TEIS program but are certainly in need of additional supports and resources.
  • whose insurance company will only provide a limited amount of services that are not sufficient for the presenting needs.

We want to be able to see the need and meet it by offering a unique and innovative model for families. Our services are provided in increments of 30- or 45-minute sessions meeting weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly if warranted. When scheduling allows, we may also be able to offer small group therapy sessions, of children working together towards similar goals, providing an even more affordable option with the costs being shared amongst participating families. This model has been welcomed and appreciated by our clients in addition to individual therapy services.

We typically bill for the service provided within 24 hours of delivery for which the family is the responsible party for payment.  However, monthly, we will provide you with a Superbill containing the CPT codes and ICD10 codes required for insurance billing for you to independently submit in seeking insurance reimbursement for the out of pocket expenses incurred.

We accept cash, check, and credit/debit card. Please contact us at 573-450-8242 or use the form below to request a comprehensive list of fees per service.  The initial phone consult is free. Additional consults, phone or in-person, are subject to a fee.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
