In addition to being a wife and mother of three beautiful little boys,
Brandy N. Storck, MS CCC-SLP/L, LSLS Cert. AVT, has been specializing in Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology and Listening and Spoken Language (AVT) services, providing therapy, coaching, and consulting to children, families, and schools, since 2002. Before relocating to Franklin, TN in 2017 she spent 14 years in private practice in Southeast Missouri, pioneering programming to give access to listening and spoken language services to the pediatric hearing impaired community of her region. Upon arriving to TN, she then began to further her training as an executive function specialist with a focus on ADHD, trauma-informed care, and learning differences.
With over 21 years of experience in the field, the passion for what she does is founded on a fundamental belief that the family is the greatest expert their child will ever have. She has spent the entirety of her career coaching, consulting, and investing into the whole team rather than just the child, recognizing that in so doing, you net a far greater return on your teaching investment in the developmental magnitude of the child.
As she came to understand her own childhood trauma and the effect it had on her learning and social/emotional experiences throughout academia, she realized that the work she did in helping children establish new pathways in the prefrontal cortex was only as effective as the health of the limbic system operating below it. While simultaneously seeing that the family-centered therapies provided were only as effective as the mental health of the families carrying them out.
She learned that the information, education, and understanding supporting this connection across fields was painfully limited, to the detriment of optimal, wholistic child development. As a result, she has been on a mission to close the gap between Speech-Language Pathology, Neuroscience, and Mental Health, for the children AND the families served having created Limbic Love to begin to accomplish just that.

She has been invited to speak and provide teachings and presentations to developmental therapist trainings as well as preschool professional development meetings. She was also asked to create an online mini-course to support therapists who are preparing to sit for their Auditory-Verbal Certification Exam. In her free time she is a writer at There's So Much More for her own therapeutic enjoyment, documenting the mysteries and countless testimonies that have comprised her life. Oh, friends! Monica Wehrer MS CCC-SLP/L, LSLS Cert. AVT Mentee

Sometimes you go looking for new team members. Sometimes new team members are looking for you. And sometimes, the Lord, Himself, steps in and causes paths to cross in such a way that could have only been designed by Him. And with that we welcome the newest member of The Emphasis Project Team!
We spoke virtually for a year. But when both of our curly heads finally found ourselves in the same office, upon her finally moving to Nashville from Pennsylvania, it was very clear. Our stories had been written to come together, for such a time as this.
Monica brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the area as a veteran pediatric SLP. But most excitingly, after 10 years of specializing, she is now a second year mentee in becoming a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist, Certifying in Auditory-Verbal Therapy. And just like myself, she is being mentored by a legend in our field!
As one of only four LSLS Cert. AVTs currently practicing in the state of TN and numerous families awaiting services, it is a literal Godsend to bring an Auditory-Verbal Mentee on to the same team to further serve the Greater Nashville area!
Not only has our team grown but so has our area of services! Monica is based out of the Hendersonville/Gallatin area which allows us to reach more families seeking a Listening and Spoken Language outcome for their child effected by hearing loss. Families, you’re going to absolutely love her!
