Words & Wiggles: 3-5 Years
On-Site Play & Learn Classes for Preschool Classrooms!

Did you know that there is a direct correlation between strong reading skills and academic success? Most likely. But did you know the strongest readers are those with the strongest listening and language skills – those that are established BEFORE formal schooling begins?

Read more about the RESEARCH
regarding the correlation between strong, intentional language development and true pre-academic readiness HERE.

Given frequent requests to serve the children in preschool and daycare settings, we created a modified version of our Parent/Child Play & Learn Classes in offering Teacher/Student Play & Learn Classes! Our Speech-Language Pathologist and Listening and Spoken Language Specialist begins by presenting your lead educational staff with a brief in-service followed by scheduled times to come in to the classroom, partnering with the teachers, and leading the children through 4-6 weeks of 20-minute weekly "circle times".  These "circle times" are custom designed to equip the teachers with specific, age-appropriate, evidence-based strategies and activities for creating a listening and language rich environment in the classroom.

Class Activities Will Consist Of:

• a variety of songs and movement

• pretend play and art

• literacy activities

• simple science projects

• sensory and motor play

• and parachute play

Each with a strong focus on listening, vocabulary building, critical thinking, early literacy skills, and expanding sentence structures.
